Why is Washington [Still] Burning? is a documentary film, traveling exhibit, and curriculum that explores the fundamental question that white activists in the US have faced, and continue to face today: What is a white American's role in the struggle for racial justice?
In July 2019 I will be marrying the love of my life, as a part of the bachelor festivities on June 29th I completed a Spartan Sprint in Washington DC. I have decided to use the run as an opportunity to raise both awareness around the issue of mass incarceration as well as funds for 3 community organizations I’ve been fortunate to volunteer with that assist those directly affected by mass incarceration. This will be the second installment of the Mud Run Against Mass Incarceration movement.

On October 10, 2018, the Florida panhandle was struck by a devastating Category 4 Hurricane Michael. The storm remained strong and was a Category 3 at the time it hit the north Florida community of Marianna, Florida.
